My name is Stan Brown and I am a member of your fishing club. My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter took the plunge in March 2007 and moved to the Vienne, South West France. They purchased a lovely property with a Gite and most importantly an idyllic fishing lake which already was well stocked with wild carp. They had dreamt of doing this for several years and decided that if they did not get on with it, time would have passed them by. They have spent the past 6 months converting a Fishermans lodge, also stocking the lake with over 600 lbs of Common and Mirror Carp, plus fifteen Chinese Grass Carp, this added to the unknown existing stock of wild carp, we estimate they have over 1000lbs of excellent quality fish in their lake.
They have just launched their website this week and so the fishery is now officially open for business.
