Watford Piscators runs a busy match programme on a variety of venues.

The majority of matches are fished on club-run stretches of the Grand Union Canal, using all five club sections − Evans, Park‚ Dickinsons‚ Gingers and Moor Pounds. Additional matches also use stretches of the River Gade and some of the clubs lakes.

On average we run one match every fortnight, usually on a Sunday which attract a significant number of members. Our current match record was set a few years back on Evans Pound with over 85lb of chub, although a 70lb plus weight of bream has also been taken in a match from Moor Pound.

NOTES & INFORMATION
CHAMPIONSHIP MATCHES – Are for both Senior and Junior WP Members. The best six results from the nine Championship rounds will be taken into account in deciding the final championship placings.
PLEASE NOTE – It is a club rule that venues for CHAMPIONSHIP matches are closed on the day of the match, apart from those members taking part in the match, until after the match weigh in has been finalised.
* DRUM BOOKINGS – Road side swims on Castles Lake from 10.00am until 13.00pm, after which normal member fishing can take place.
