Due to some fast foot work by our Club President and Secretary of G.U.S.A.C John Castle along with our Chairman Jamie Wareham and our Club Secretary John Dickinson a conservative estimate of 550 lb of mixed Silver Fish were introduced into our section of the canal – PARK POUND. Jamie and John saw the stock introduced into Park Pound between 6:00 and 7:00 pm Tuesday 09th March.
The fish at an estimated value of £3,000 were given to our club at no charge by British Waterways. The fish originate from a side pond adjacent to the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The Silver Fish comprising of, Roach, Bream, and Perch were introduced to Park Pound from the Gade Bank. There were a number of quality size Roach and at least 6 Perch in the 1-2 lb Bracket.
Watford Piscators thanks, British Waterways, G.U.S.A.C, John Castle, Jamie Wareham and John Dickinson for responding to this fish transfer at very short notice.
