1^ST CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH (WP) – EVANS POUND

SUNDAY 07^TH MARCH

The first match took place on Sunday 7th March and it turned out to be a hard match. The water was very clear and there were more boats than usual moored up due to British Waterways work being carried out near Hunton Bridge, which stopped boats travelling up passed Evans.

There were eight members who took part in this the first of the WP Championship Matches and the results are as follows:

First Place: M.Woodwood – 31lb 10oz - 4 x Good Carp all Common –

14LB1 2oz, 4lb 12oz, 7lb 8oz, & 5lb 4oz – All to a 4lb bottom rig.

Second Place J.Ashpole - 15lb 8oz – 5 x Chub

Third Place: P.Spiller - 2lb 6oz – 1 x Chub
