WEATHER:

The week ahead looks like mid-high twenties interspersed with light rain at times. Always check  the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared.

MATCH NEWS:

* Sunday 25th June - Stanleys - Float Fish only Trophy. Please leave the Lake by mid-night Saturday 24th June. You can return to fish after the match on Sunday. For safety and security, do not walk the Lake until after those who have fished the match have left their swims.
* Wednesday 28th June - Castles - Evening League - NOTE: LAKE WILL REMAIN OPEN TO NON-MATCH MEMBERS.
* Saturday 01st July - Sunday 02nd July - Thurlows - Carp Match 2 - Maximum 2 rods. Match from 10:00am Saturday to 10:00am Sunday. Please pack up and leave the lake by midnight Friday 30th June. Contact Brim 07897 617097,  if you need further details and to reserve your place, (maximum 20 to fish the match).You can return to fish Sunday after the Match has been completed. For Safety and Security, do not walk the lake until those who have taken part in the match have packed up and cleared their swims.
* Wednesday 05th July - Castles - Evening League - NOTE: LAKE WILL REMAIN OPEN TO NON-MATCH MEMBERS.

NOTE: YOU don't have to be a regular match fisher to take part, you can choose one or as many matches as you want to take part in. Who knows you might enjoy the experience and become a regular Match Fisher! Why not give it a go!

LODGE WASPS UPDATE:

The wasp infestation in the Lodge Door has been dealt with. On this note if you find a wasp nest near or in your swim, do not tackle this yourself. Contact Ron, your Water Management Chairman, Mobile: 07445 975001, who will arrange for it to be dealt with.

GUEST PERMITS:

Guest Permits, as well as from Harefield Tackle, Guest Permits can be purchased from Your Water Management Chairman, Ron Westwood, Mobile: 07445 975001. Please note as per Rule: 13.1 Day Tickets only are available at £10.  Day tickets, 24 hour and 48 hour Tickets are  available, from the 1st November - 14th March inclusive Each season. See Rule 13 to 13.3 in your Rule Book for full details.

TOLPITS LODGE:

Work on the Lodge will commence from next week. Note work will be carried out on, in and around the Tolpits Lodge.

COACHING SESSIONS:

Watford Piscators are introducing Summer/Autumn Coaching Sessions.
Free coaching sessions for Existing Youth / Family members.
All aspects of angling – general coarse to specimen carp.
Watford Piscators is offering free coaching sessions for existing Youth Members and Family Members who would like to brush up on a particular technique or introduce their children or family to the sport.
We have a number of Angling Trust Certified Coaches at the Club who can provide instruction in all aspects of Angling from basic pleasure fishing (River or Stillwater) to Specimen Carp Angling.  With a river stretch and four lakes - one with a purpose-built coaching platform and several disabled access fishing areas.
If a family member is completely new to fishing or if you want to learn more about a specific aspect of Angling, then let us know and we will tailor a session to your requirements.
