COMPLEX POTHOLE WORK: Just to let you know, heavy machinery will be in use on Our Complex over the next few weeks, depending on the weather, starting in the Main Car Park repairing pot holes around the site.  Please take care if you visit.

TIPS: I have been asked on several occasions, what bait to use for Carp? Well apart from the commercial offerings, the following is taken from an article dated 1959: The following are good Carp Baits,  parboiled potatoes, red worms and brandings, gentles,(comment: maggots), green peas, boiled wheat, green wheat, wasp grubs, (comment: you should probably give these a miss!), paste of old bread, paste of old cheese, (the last two can be sweetened with honey), soft herring roe, cherries, almost any kind of grain, grub or worm, sponge cake with sugar and honey mixed into a paste. Ground bait, mashed potatoes and bran are generally useful. Those mentioned are only some baits you can try. As you can probably see Carp will be attracted to most things. From personal experience I have caught Carp on brown bread , butter and Marmite! GOOD LUCK!
