WEATHER:
Forecast at present over the coming week still  looks like it will remain damp!  Remember, forecasts change frequently. Always check  the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared.

OUTLOOK:
Thursday, 10°/2°, cloudy, Friday, 10°/6°, sunny intervals, Saturday, 12°/7°, showers, Sunday, 11°/5°, light rain, Monday, 11°/5°, light rain, Tuesday, 10°/4°, drizzle, Wednesday, 11°/5°, light rain.

CATCH REPORT: February 2024

CASTLES: Another good month as it has been fishing very consistent despite the changes in the weather. Many Carp up to 11lb, with one member having caught 15 in one session. A couple of Tench, lots of Bream, Perch, Rudd, Gudgeon and skimmers.

TOLPITS: Several Carp up to 26lb have been caught. Many Bream, Roach, Perch, Pike up to 10lb, and other silvers to.

THURLOWS: Has been fishing steady, with several Pike to 11lb caught on dead bait and lures. Some good-sized Perch over 2lb. Bream up to 8lb, and several Carp in the upper doubles with the largest being over 28lb.

RIVER:  The water levels have been very high with the rain. There are no reports of any fish captures.

STANLEYS:  Still fishing steady considering the weather. There have been several catches of Carp up to 18lb, Pike up to 10lb. Lots of Bream to 5lb, Perch to 2lb, Roach, and lots of skimmers.

* Sunday 10th March - Winter League - Stanleys Pool - 08:00 - 14:30. Please leave the Lake by mid-night Saturday 9th March. You can return to fish Sunday after the match has completed. Do not walk the lake until those who have taken part in the match have packed up and left their swims.
* Sunday 24th March - Winter League - Castles Lake - 08:00 - 14:30
* Sunday 7th April - Stanleys Pool - Bomb and Feeder only - 08:00 - 14:30
* Tuesday 9th April - Castles Lake - Venue Hire
* Friday 12th April to Sunday 14th April - Tolpits Lake - 10:00 Friday until 14:30 Sunday. At present all swims are taken, however if you are still interested, contact Brim, 07342 655627, who will contact you should there be any drop outs!
* Sunday 21st April - Castles Lake - Absolon and Grove Cup - 08:00 - 14:30

NOTE: YOU don't have to be a regular match fisher to take part, you can choose one or as many matches as you want to take part in. Who knows you might enjoy the experience and become a regular Match Fisher! Why not give it a try!

RIVERS CLOSED SEASON:
NOTE: RIVERS are closed for fishing 15th March to 15th June inclusive. It is illegal to fish rivers during this period.
