WEATHER: Although still mild at present, temperatures dropping from Sunday. Forecasts still mention possible snow from mid-February? Remember, forecasts change frequently. Always check the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared.
OUTLOOK: Thursday, 11°/9°, heavy rain at times, Friday, 12°/6°, showers, Saturday, 10°/5°, light rain, Sunday, 9°/2°, drizzle, Monday, 8°/1°, showers, Tuesday, 8°/1°, drizzle, Wednesday, 9°/1°, sunny intervals.
CATCH REPORT: January 2024 Despite the adverse weather conditions all lakes have been fishing steady throughout the month.
CASTLES: Fishing has been consistent. It has seen a large variety of fish come out especially Carp. Many Carp up to 12lb, plenty of skimmers, Roach, Rudd, Gudgeon, Perch, and some Crucian Carp.
TOLPITS: Several Carp up to 34lb have been caught including Oscars at 34lb and Scrappy at 26lb 6oz. Many Bream, Roach, Pike, Perch, and other silvers.
THURLOWS: Has been slower than usual. The last two weeks it has seen a few Carp up to 24lb been caught. A few Pike up to 10lb, and Bream up to 7lb, Perch and lots of silvers.
RIVER: A couple of Jack Pike have been captured on lures.
STANLEYS: Fishing steady considering the weather. There have been several catches of Carp up to 18lb, Pike up to 8lb. Lots of Bream to 6lb, Roach, Perch, and other lots of skimmers.

MATCH NEWS:
PLEASE NOTE: THE LAKE WILL NOT BE CLOSED TO MEMBERS ON THE DAY.
CARP MATCH NEWS: 48 hour carp match on Tolpits Friday 12th April to Sunday 14th April, meet in the main car park at 10am on the Friday for the draw. At present all swims are taken, however if you are still interested, contact Brim, 07342 655627, who will contact you should there be any drop outs!
TOLPITS LAKE: Tree work is scheduled to be carried out, Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st February. Where and when will be confirmed when dates are fixed.
WATER MANAGEMENT: Should any member have access to used scaffold poles that can be used for repairs around Our Complex please contact, Ron, your Water Management Chairman, 07445 975001, it will be greatly appreciated.
