WEATHER: In the low 20°s until Monday then back to the high teens,  according to the Met Office!  Remember, forecasts change frequently. Always check  the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared. Time to break out the sun tan lotion!

OUTLOOK: Thursday, 22°/10°, sunny, Friday, 22°/9°, sunny intervals, Saturday, 22°/12, sunny intervals, Sunday, 23°/13°, light showers, Monday, 18°/11°, light rain, Tuesday, 17°/10°, light showers, Wednesday, 16°/9°, light rain.

CATCH REPORT: APRIL 2024

TOLPITS: It has been a very good month so far as the weather has been warming up. There have been several Carp up to 35lb. Many named Carp including Oscars Fully, Baby Red Cheeks, Scrappy, Two Tone Common. One member landed 11 Carp over 3 days. Many other Carp in the upper doubles have also been out. Lots of Bream up to 7lb. Tench up to 7lb, Perch, Roach, Rudd and plenty other Silvers.

THURLOWS: Also fishing very well throughout the month with several Carp up to 31lb. Bream up to 5lb, Tench up to 6lb, lots of Perch caught on worms and many other Silver fish also.CASTLES:Many Carp up to 12lb. Lots of skimmers, Perch, Gudgeon, Rud, Roach, Bream and some Crucian Carp.

STANLEYS: Some good catches of Carp have been coming out up to 24lb. Plenty Bream to 5lb, a few Tench and Perch and lots of Silvers.

RIVER: Closed until the 16th June 2024.

MATCH NEWS:

* Sunday 12th May - Thurlows - Wesley Cup Over 60's Trophy. Please leave the Lake by mid-night Saturday 11th. You can return to fish Sunday after the match has completed. Do not walk the lake until those who have fished the match have packed up and left their swims.

* Sunday 26th May - Tolpits - Championship Leg 1. - NOTE TOLPITS WILL NOT BE FISHED FOR THIS MATCH! NEW LAKE WILL BE ALLOCATED AND FACEBOOK/WEBSITE WILL BE UPDATED SOON.

NOTE: YOU don't have to be a regular match fisher to take part, you can choose one or as many matches as you want to take part in. Who knows you might enjoy the experience and become a regular Match Fisher! Why not give it a try!

WORK PARTIES: There are jobs to suit all and Your help will make Our Complex even better. So if you can spare any time to help please do.Should you be unable to carry out a Work Party at weekends contact Ron your Water Management Chairman 07445 975001 who may be able to arrange a Work Party during the week.

WATER MANAGEMENT: Should any member have access to used scaffold poles that can be used for repairs around Our Complex please contact,  Ron, your Water Management Chairman, 07445 975001, it will be greatly appreciated.

TOLPITS LAKE NEWS:Please take note, to protect the health and reduce the stress of Our fish stock in this lake, especially with the starting signs of spawning; until further notice,  the use of keep nets has been banned on Tolpits.

DIPPING OF EQUIPMENT: IMPORTANT - Ensure you dip all nets, cradles, slings and mats before you fish any of Our Lakes and if you move lakes make sure you dip equipment again before fishing your new chosen  lake.

GUEST PERMITS:Guest Permits, as well as from Harefield Tackle, Guest Permits can be purchased from Your Water Management Chairman, Ron Westwood, Mobile: 07445 975001. Please note as per Rule: 13.1 Day Tickets only are available at £10.  Day tickets, 24 hour and 48 hour Tickets are  available, from the 1st November - 14th March inclusive Each season. See Rule 13 to 13.3 in your Rule Book for full details.
