It seems more rain over the next week with Saturday forecasts showing at present Thundery Showers. Temperatures still pretty disappointing, but outlook says getting better from mid-week. Remember, forecasts change frequently, always check the local weather outlook before any planned fishing sessions so you are well prepared.
Thursday, 20°/12°, cloudy sunny intervals, Friday, 19°/11°, light rain, Saturday, 16°/11°, thundery showers, Sunday, 19°/9°, sunny intervals, Monday, 19°/10°, sunny intervals, Tuesday, 18°/9°, light rain, Wednesday, 21°/10°, sunny.
A very good month again. Several Carp to 32lb. The One Eyed Common has been out again. Baby Red Cheeks has been out on 3 occasions and several other Carp in the upper doubles have also been out. Many Bream up to 8lb. A few Tench up to 8lb and many Perch, Roach, Rudd with plenty of other silvers.
Fishing steady with several Carp up to 32lb. Tench up to 7lb, Bream up to 6lb, Also some nice perch caught on worms and maggots. Lots of other silver fish also caught.
Lots of Carp up to 10lb. Plenty of skimmers, Perch, Roach, Gudgeon, Rudd, Bream and Crucian Carp.
Fishing extremely well, with some good catches of Carp coming out up to 26lb. Many Bream to 6lb 8oz, several Tench and lots of Perch and many other silvers.

* Sunday 06th August - Castles - Observer Cup, (Float Only) - 09:30 - 14:30. Leave the lake by midnight Saturday 05th August. You can return to fish Sunday after the match has completed. For Safety reasons, do not walk the lake until those who have taken part in the match have packed up and left their swim.
* Sunday 20th August - Thurlows - Championship Leg 5 & Nick Beale Trophy - 09:30 - 14:30

Watford Piscators is offering free coaching sessions for existing Youth Members and Family Members who would like to brush up on a particular technique or introduce their children or family to the sport.
We have a number of Angling Trust Certified Coaches at the Club who can provide instruction in all aspects of Angling from basic pleasure fishing (River or Stillwater) to Specimen Carp Angling.
With a river stretch and four lakes - one with a purpose-built coaching platform and several disabled access fishing areas.
If a family member is completely new to fishing or if you want to learn more about a specific aspect of Angling, then let us know and we will tailor a session to your requirements.
