Unhooking Mats / Nets

There still seems to be some confusion with reference to what size unhooking and landing nets to use on Our Waters. Please see the following:

RULE CLARIFICATION - UNHOOKING MATS: Rule 17, definitions, must be read in conjunction with the table in rule 17.1. If you are fishing with a size 12 hook or smaller you are deemed to be targeting smaller species and the minimum unhooking mat size is 40cm (w), 80cm (l) and 1.5cm thick. This applies to all lakes.  If you are fishing with a size 10 hook or larger you are deemed to be targeting larger species and the minimum unhooking mat size is 60cm (w), 90cm (l) and 5cm thick. This applies to all lakes.

RULE CLARIFICATION - LANDING NETS: Rule 17, definitions, must be read in conjunction with the table in rule 17.2. If you are fishing with a size 12 hook or smaller you are deemed to be targeting smaller species and the minimum landing net size is 40cm on all lakes.  If you are fishing with a size 10 hook or larger you are deemed to be targeting larger species and therefore the minimum landing net size is 60cm on Castles and 106cm (42 inches) on all other lakes.  We hope this clears up any misunderstandings.
